OSCARS® SUBMISSION FORMS DUE NOVEMBER 13 FOR 98TH OSCARS

LOS ANGELES, CA — Thursday, November 13, 2025, is the deadline to submit Oscars® Submission Forms (OSF) in the general entry categories and Representation and Inclusion Standards Entry (RAISE) forms for Best Picture consideration to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 98th Academy Awards® consideration. Films will not be accepted for consideration after the deadline.

For a feature film to be considered for the 98th Awards, the film’s distributor or producer must upload via our submission website a scanned, signed copy of the OSF and legal billing (complete on-screen credits). The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. PT on November 13.

While the submission deadline is November 13, feature films have until December 31, 2025, to open in a commercial motion picture theater in one of the six qualifying U.S. metro areas: Los Angeles County; City of New York [five boroughs]; the Bay Area [counties of San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, San Mateo and Contra Costa, California]; Chicago [Cook County, Illinois]; Dallas-Fort Worth [Dallas County, Tarrant County, Texas]; and Atlanta [Fulton County, Georgia] and begin a minimum run of seven consecutive days in the same commercial motion picture theater, during which period screenings must occur at least three times daily, with at least one screening beginning between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. daily, to be eligible for 2025 Awards consideration. Additional theatrical requirements apply for Best Picture consideration, including an expanded theatrical run of seven days, consecutive or non-consecutive, in 10 of the top 50 U.S. markets, no later than 45 days after the initial release in 2025, to be completed no later than January 22, 2026.

Submitting the confidential Representation and Inclusion Standards Entry (RAISE) form and meeting two of the four standards is also required for eligibility in the Best Picture category for the 98th Oscars. A film's distributor or producer may opt out of Best Picture consideration, in which case they will not be required to submit the RAISE form. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. PT on November 13. Entries in the animated feature, documentary feature, international feature and short film categories are subject to special rules and qualifying criteria. The submission deadline for these specialty categories has already passed.

Shortlists for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Nominations for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

The 98th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide.
